Ron Loesch / Petersburg Pilot
A flock of Trumpeter Swans fed near the shoreline of Starrigavan Creek near the Sitka ferry terminal last week. The pure white fowls are mature adults while the gray-tinted birds are immature. They are the largest of the North American waterfowl species.
