Adult Reading Raffle - Enter weekly to win a KINDLE FIRE and other great prizes online at psglib.org or at the Public Library. Open to adults 18+

Snacks+Music+Fun=TAG - Sat, Feb 4  - 11 am-1 pm Have an impact. Join the library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG).  Open to teens 6th grade and up.

Invasion of the Afterschoolers presents - Woven Hearts - Tuesday Feb. 7, 3:30 - 4:30. Make woven paper hearts for Valentine decorations. A drop-in program for kids ages 6 and up.

Baby Bookworms - Wednesday, Feb 8 at 10 am – 11 am. Entertaining our youngest patrons with stories, songs and bounces. 

HUNGER GAMES PARTY & free books for kids 0-16. Friday Feb. 10 at the public library. Hunger Games Party/Little Kid's Rock Concert: 3 pm/Free book for kids: 10 am – 4 pm. You’ve read the books, now celebrate the Hunger Games film release with a reaping, Cornucopia snacks, and a performance by Little Kids Rock.

Garden Forum & Information Exchange - Fri, Feb 10 at 7 pm - Instructor Bob Gorman, UAF Cooperative Extension Service. Bring your favorite seed catalogues and share your success stories. If you bring seeds to trade, they must be clean. No invasive species. Those attending will be able to vote on topics for future gardening classes.

Gardening with Plants Native to Southeast Alaska - Sat, Feb 11 from 8:30 am - 10:30 am - Instructor: Bob Gorman, UAF Cooperative Extension Service. This workshop will look at examples of plants native to Petersburg, how a gardener might get those plants, and managing them in the home garden. Those attending will be able to vote on topics for future gardening classes.

Elizabeth Peratrovich Day Event - Thursday February 16, 6 pm, at the Seaside House. View the film “For the Rights of All: Ending Jim Crow in Alaska” and gather for discussion and refreshments.

You could be Petersburg’s next Writer Laureate - Deadline:  March 21, 5 pm. Writers of all ages are encouraged to apply.  Fiction, non-fiction and poetry are all welcome. Applications are at the public library or at www.psglib.org.
