Edward Mark Glenz, 80, passed away January 27, 2012 at his home in Wrangell.
Ed was born July 9, 1931 to Edward and Helene Glenz in Portland, Ore. The family home was in Castle Rock, Wash.
Ed came north 60 years ago to work in the logging camps. He had a store, fuel dock, and a fish station in Meyer Chuck where he lived for 45 years. He commercial trolled on the F/V Good Luck. He was gardening and enjoyed wood lathe work.
Edward is survived by his wife, Marian of 53 years, one daughter Teresa (Jack) Rodgers, two granddaughters Melani (Chris) Villa, Jasper Rodgers, two grandsons David (Chrissy) Otte, Jake (Serena) Rodgers, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two sisters Barbara (Rudy) Host, and Alvina Glenz of Seattle, Wash., and brother Gary Glenz, of Castle Rock.
At Ed’s request there will be no service.
