Rockitdog art

Pacific Northwest sculptor, Karsten Boysen, of Port Orchard, Wash., is five for five as he was recently chosen for the 2012 Annual Collective Vision Gallery statewide exhibition in Bremerton, Wash. His welded steel, brilliant yellow sculpture entitled “rockitdog” is one of 137 artworks chosen from over 800 Washington entries. This is the fifth consecutive year Boysen was selected for the annual CVG statewide competition with a different expert curator each year. The artist has numerous large public percent-for-art commissions in Alaska and Washington, as well as in prominent private collections throughout the Pacific Northwest. He formerly instructed art at the University of Washington, the University of Alaska, Juneau; and was Washington State Arts Commission Artist-in-Residence at the Seward Park Art Studio in Seattle.
