The following PHS art students currently have their work hanging in the SeaLife Center (Seward) in an art show; Bessie Johnson, Joe Zarlengo, Brittany Fonseca, Robyn Schwartz, Rhiannon Kivisto and Ellie Robinson.

Carolyn Kvernvik placed 2nd place in the Regional High School group for the Coastal America Student Art Contest.  Her art work and essay will be traveling to Washington D.C in March to represent the state of Alaska and the Alaska SeaLife Center and take part in the national competition. She will receive artwork created by the Seward resident harbor seals and puffins at the Alaska SeaLife Center. The winner will be flown to Washington D.C. for a special awards ceremony. The Coastal America Student Art Contest is a national art and essay competition which was developed to foster greater understanding and appreciation of our unique ocean ecosystems.
