Martha Marie John-Jackson, 86

 


Martha Marie John-Jackson, 86 was promoted to glory on June 25, 2012 at the Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 19, 1926 to Charlie and Katherine Brown John in Angoon, Alaska. Martha moved to Kake from Angoon in 1943 with her niece Sylvia Bell, where she met and later married Royal Jackson. Martha worked at Kerberger General Store and Keku Cannery, she was also well known for her dry-fish, popcorn balls and yummy popsicles. Martha was a strong believer in Christ, and even in her needy handicap years, she never ceased to pray for people.
