Manager saves $20,000 in annual labor and benefit costs

Petersburg City Manager, Stephen Giesbrecht, along with City of Petersburg department heads will evaluate existing positions in the City as they become vacant to determine ways to save money.

“We are performing a review of hours, job descriptions and job class for the purpose of identifying opportunities to save money,” Giesbrecht said.

This savings is above the budgeted amount for these positions.
