August 8

John McKenzie, 44 was cited for open container and proof of insurance after driving down the middle of the road on Mitkof Highway.

An individual was reported walking with a bag or coat and individual had blood on face and clothes on Haugen Drive.

Officer responded to individuals fighting on N. Nordic Drive.

August 9

A boat was reported missing at South Harbor.

Officers requested vehicle removal for paving purposes at 1st and Dolphin.

August 10

Officer issued a warning to an individual for driving without headlights on S. Nordic Drive.

Two kayaks were abandoned by youth.

A loud argument was reported on Wrangell Avenue.

An officer responded to the report of a vehicle in the ditch and people arguing on Gjoa Street.

A request for assistance with possible assault at the Harbor Bar was called in.

August 11

Shots being fired from the highway was reported at Papke’s Landing.

Dump trucks driving too fast in a residential area was reported on Odin Street.

A vehicle was reported stolen at Magill’s.

Two rifles were reported stolen on Excel Street.

A loud explosion that shook residences was reported at 3 mile Mitkof Highway.

Debit card fraud was reported on S. Nordic Drive.

Individual reported obnoxious noises from a bike horn on S. 3rd Street.

Christopher Malcom, 23, was cited for negligent driving on Airport Access Road.

August 12

An intoxicated individual was reported at a residence on Fram Street.

An intoxicated individual was reported having difficulty getting home on 12th Street.

Officer responded to multiple calls of a vehicle accident on S. Nordic Drive.

Someone trying to force entry into his residence garage was reported on Wrangell Avenue.

August 14

Officer responded to report of gunshots on N. 14th Street.

A taxi was reported tailgating and passing in a no passing zone on Libby Straights.

During this reporting period there were also 12 animal calls, four EMS calls and 11 burn permits were issued.
