Petersburg hosts Jamboree

Petersburg hosted the 2012 Region V Jamboree for the first time. This tournament consisted of 17 teams representing five schools.

“Our Petersburg teams performed well and made improvements throughout the weekend,” Head Coach and Petersburg Athletic Director Jaime Cabral said. “There were a lot of really good things that Coach Corl and I saw and lots of room for improvement as well for our girls.”
Cabral also stated there were 156 volleyball players visiting and they were able to play a total of 53 games in two days.
Petersburg will be hosting Sitka this weekend in conference action with game times at 6 p.m. for the junior varsity Saturday and 7:15 p.m. for the varsity and Monday's games will be at 9:30 a.m. for the junior varsity and the varsity games immediately following the junior varsity game competition.
“This tournament was great practice for the teams,” Cabral said. “It was a great beginning to the season.”
