August 31

Ronald Allan Limbrick, 43, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for an arraignment on the charges of fourth degree assault; fourth degree assault of a peace officer and second degree harassment. Limbrick entered a plea of guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct and the third count of harassment was dismissed. Limbrick was sentenced to 10 days in jail with six days suspended for both counts to be served consecutively; a surcharge of $50 for both counts; a jail surcharge of $150 with $100 suspended; $200 cost of counsel and one year of probation.

Randal Presley, 44, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for an arraignment on the charges of fourth degree assault and resisting arrest. Presley entered a plea of not guilty. Bail was set at $250 performance bond for both charges and another court date was scheduled for November.

September 1

Jeffrey Kyle Smith, 49, appeared before Deputy Magistrate Kimberly Rice for an arraignment on the charge of third degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Smith entered a plea of not guilty and bail was set at $3,500 appearance bond and $3,000 performance bond, both to be paid 100 percent in cash. A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 10.

September 4

Andrew J. Rutherford, 30, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for an arraignment on seven counts of unsworn falsification; six counts of license, tag, permit violations; one count of nonresident hunting without a resident guide and one count of fish/game license, tag, permit fee. Rutherford pled not guilty and bail was set at $2,500 unsecured bond and a hearing was set for November.

Jeremy Jensen, 37, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for a change of plea hearing and sentencing on the charge of commercial fishing, male golden king crab; crab pots in closed waters. Jensen pled guilty to lesser charge of strict liability and was fined $3,000 and a surcharge of $10.
