Oktoberfest weekend a huge hit

 

It was a busy weekend! Starting with Friday night’s cookoff/brewfest, followed by the Oktoberfest Art Share at the Community Gym on Saturday morning. Next came Saturday night’s Petersburg’s Arts Council’s concert at the Sons of Norway Hall featuring the Juneau band Kari Groven and the Wristrockets, seen onstage above. Costumed revelers made the Sons the first stop before heading out to the various costume contests around town. Andrea and Leaf Weathers costumed as a puppet master and his marionette won top prizes for their costume. See pages 10 and 11 for more pictures.
