The Petersburg Arts Council brought celebrated Canadian blues man Matt Anderson to town for a concert in Wright Auditorium last Thursday. Anderson’s recent accomplishments include winning the top prize at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and taking 2011’s Entertainer of the Year and Acoustic Act of the Year in Canada’s Maple Blues Awards. His performance received an enthusiastic standing ovation from Petersburg’s music lovers.
