Clifford Young, 46, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for a change of plea hearing and sentencing on the charge of fourth degree assault. Young entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended; $50 police training surcharge; jail surcharge of $150 with $150 suspended and one year probation.

Timothy Mark Volpi, Jr., 31, appeared before Judge William Carey for a petition to revoke probation arraignment. Volpi entered a denial and a public defender was appointed. Trial is set for April 22.
