New interpretive sign at slough

Petersburg Marine Mammal Center Board Members Don Holmes, left, and Scott Roberge, right, stand by the newly-installed interpretive sign. It is placed in the mini-park at the south end of the Rasmus Enge Bridge, overlooking Hammer Slough. The sign explains the importance of estuaries to the marine system. It was constructed using funds from a City of Petersburg Transient Room Tax Grant.
