Patricia Ann Martin, 70, went on to be an angel in heaven on May 16, 2013. She died at home looking over the Wrangell Narrows with her devoted husband, Larry Martin, at her side.
She was born on May 8, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Penn. She grew up in Florida where she attended Seabreeze High School and Cosmetology School, and came to Alaska in 1970. She and Larry married in 1983, she used to say the adventure really began then. Pat loved anything to do with the outdoors – hunting, fishing, the ocean, and photography.
She was an amazing kind hearted woman who will be missed by many.
She was greeted in heaven by: her mother and father, Mary and Albert Maskrey; brothers Dennis and Barry Maskrey; sons James Becker and Murray Martin.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Laron P Martin Jr.; daughters Kellie Espinoza and Christina Wyatt; granddaughters Hollie King, Amanda Dunbar, Kayla West, Melanie Chapman, and Samantha Wyatt; grandsons Brandon Becker and Derek Espinoza; great-granddaughter Kallie Grippin; great-grandsons Justin and Chevy Hicks, Brian Chapman, Toryn McRae, and Johnathon Chapman; and her sister Marilyn Sachtjen.
Memorial services will be held Thursday May 23, at 11am at the Petersburg Lutheran Church with a reception to follow in the Holy Cross House.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Pat’s honor.
