May 29

An inoperable vehicle was reported in the parking lot at the Crane Dock.

A plexiglas window was cleared from the roadway at Howkan and Haugen Drives.

Young H. Lee, 71, was issued a citation for speeding 38 in a 25 mile per hour zone on Sandy Beach Road.

A vehicle with its hazard lights on was halfway into the roadway on Haugen Drive.

May 30

A warning was issued for an inoperable headlight.

An individual was illegally on the roof of another resident on Balder Street.

Someone was harassing another individual on Tango Street.

A suspect entered a residence without consent on S. Seventh Street.

May 31

Two old refrigerators were stolen from a property on Mitkof Highway.

A boat on a trailer behind a truck was obscuring stop sign and traffic at Fourth Street and Ira II.

Officers responded to the report of loud music and minors consuming alcohol on S. Nordic Drive.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on the 800 block of S. Nordic Drive. A correctable citation was issued for failure to carry proof of insurance. A verbal warning was issued for inoperable headlight. Proof of insurance was provided June 1.

June 1

A noise complaint was issued on Howkan.

An individual reported harassment on Lumber Street.

A caller reported hitting a mirror on a vehicle in the construction zone on First Street.

June 2

Officers responded to an individual being kicked in the stomach on Chief John Lott.

A warning was issued for speed at the 700 block of Sandy Beach Road.

An individual reported someone trying to break into his room. Officers were notified.

Joshua Ketner, 19, was issued a citation for speeding 60 in a 50 mile per hour zone. An additional citation was issued for failure to carry proof of insurance.

A vehicle was parked in a private lot on S. Nordic Drive.

A skiff was stolen with fishing gear aboard on the 100 block of S. Nordic.

June 3

A caller reported theft from a hotel room on First and Dolphin Streets.

A vehicle was parked in a yellow zone on Nordic Drive and Birch Street.

June 4

Officers responded to someone sleeping in the post office on Haugen Drive.

A loud explosion in the water off Scow Bay was reported.

Kenneth W. Olsen, 51, was issued a citation for speeding 55 in a 40 mile per hour zone on the 100 block of S. Nordic Drive.

Officers responded to an attempted break in and cut phone lines at the Ball Field Building.

During this reporting period, there were also six animal calls, four EMS calls and 14 burn permits were issued.
