June 13

Juan C. Gallardo-Gomez, 31, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for a change of plea hearing on the charge of fourth degree assault with reckless injury. Gallardo-Gomez changed his plea to not guilty and a public defender was appointed. Trial has been set for Aug. 20, 2013.

Anthony M. Sainz, 18, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for a felony first arraignment on the charges of felony failure to stop at the direction of an officer, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage and a minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. Sainz entered a plea of not guilty and a public defender was appointed. A preliminary hearing has been set for July 3 and Sainz was released with conditions.

June 14

Ramona Kirkman appeared before Judge William Carey against Jessica Mayo and Keith Widmyer for a long term court protective order regarding domestic violence and reckless endangerment involving children. Carey found for Kirkman and granted the long-term order. Carey directed Kirkman to file a custody petition within 30 days and if she wants to retain custody an investigation will be ordered.

Brandon Shaun Estes, 20, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for an arraignment on the charge of driving with license canceled, suspended or revoked. Estes entered a plea of not guilty and a public defender was appointed. Trial has been set for Sept. 17 and Estes was released on a $500 performance bond and conditions.

June 18

Nicholas Cody Hendry, 21, appeared before Judge Carey for an arraignment on the charge of fourth degree assault. Hendry entered a plea of not guilty and trial has been set for Aug. 20.
