June 24

Matthew A. Leak, 22, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for an arraignment on the charge of non-resident over limit sport shrimp pots. Leak entered a plea of no contest and was fined $100 with a surcharge of $10.

Janet Suzanne and Jerry Eugene Bradford appeared before Judge William Carey for an uncontested divorce hearing. A divorce decree was entered.

Stuart Meeks, 25, appeared before Judge Carey for sentencing on the charge of felony furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 with prior charges. Meeks pled guilty to a class C felony and received suspended imposition of sentence for two years; 45 days in jail; 15 days can convert to 120 hours of community work service; $500 fine and $100 police training surcharge.

James L Rodgers and Colleen A. Bryan appeared before Judge Carey for a dissolution hearing and decree of dissolution was granted.

June 25

Derek M. Knudsen, 25, appeared before Judge Carey for a change of plea hearing and sentencing on the charges of fourth degree assault, domestic violence to recklessly injure; fourth degree assault, domestic violence with fear of injury and fourth degree misconduct with a weapon and possession while intoxicated. Knudsen entered a plea of guilty to fourth degree assault, domestic violence to recklessly injure and other charges were dismissed. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 80 days suspended; police training surcharge of $50 and 18 months probation.

Eric L.S. Cole, 26, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for an arraignment on the charges of fourth degree assault to recklessly injure and a violation of conditions of release for a felony. Cole entered a plea of not guilty and a representation hearing has been set for July 9, 2013.

Brandon S. Estes, 20, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for a bail review hearing and bail was reduced to $250.

John D. Marston, 50, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for an arraignment on the charges of driving under the influence, refusal to submit to chemical testing and sixth degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Marston entered a plea of not guilty and a representation hearing has been set for July 11, 2013.

Cindy and Jeffrey Hupp appeared before Judge Carey for a divorce hearing. The divorce decree was granted and restoration of name was established to Cindy Marie Fisher.
