June 26

Jesse J. Jeske, 33, appeared before Judge William Carey for a change of plea hearing and sentencing on the charges of counts of taking of Southeast Alaska Sea Cucumber in closed season and two counts of commercial fishing - unlawful possession of fish. Jeske entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to nine days in jail; a fine of $3,000 with $1,500 suspended and two years probation.

June 27

Harlan Darryl Bell, 52, appeared before Magistrate Desiree Burrell for an arraignment on the charge of fourth degree theft under $50. Bell entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced with a fine of $250 with $250 suspended; $50 police training surcharge; $50 jail surcharge; ten hours of community work service in lieu of surcharge; restitution of $26.64 and cannot enter any Hammer and Wikan stores.

Sandi Kristine Medina, 27, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for an arraignment on the charge of fourth degree assault with domestic violence. Medina entered a plea of not guilty, a public defender has been appointed and trial is set for Aug. 20, 2013.

June 28

Eddie S. Sandhu, 21, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for an arraignment on the charge of sixth degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Sandhu entered a plea of no contest and was sentenced with a fine of $500 with $250 suspended; $50 police training surcharge and one year probation.

July 1

Levi S. Newman, 25, appeared before Magistrate Burrell for a further proceedings hearing on the charge of first degree criminal trespass. Newman entered a plea of not guilty and has been held on $500 bond and third party custodian. Trial has been set for Aug. 20, 2013.
