Alaska Longline, LLC, and Alaska Ship & Drydock (ASD) will christen the F/V Arctic Prowler on Oct. 5, 2013. The ceremony for the new 136 ft. freezer longliner will be held at the Ketchikan Shipyard in Ketchikan.
The Arctic Prowler is the first large commercial fishing vessel built in Alaska. The new vessel will have 16,300 cubic feet of freezer space, have the ability to both catch and process at sea, and the capability of fishing 56,000 hooks per day.
