First place for homes in the Chamber of Commerce Christmas decorating contest went to Teresa & Jim Stolpe, 200 Sandy Beach Rd, thanks to the impressive centerpiece featuring LeConte icebergs illuminated in the night. Winners in other categories were: Businesses - Lee's Clothing, Organizations/Churches - Sons of Norway Hall, Boats - "Sweet Home", Pam Speck, and Neighborhoods - Shimmering Sandy Beach Road, (Bryner, Swanson, Paulsen, Dwyer, & Trautman.)
