Fran Abbott turns a steal into a two-point play during Saturday night's game against the Sitka Wolves.

The Lady Vikings tamed the Sitka Wolves during both of last weekend's home games.

Head Coach Dino Brock said Friday evening's senior appreciation night revved up the team and the crowd.

"We came out on fire running up and down the court," Brock said. "We kind of shocked Sitka as hard and as fast as we were playing."

The Lady Vikings scored 26 points in the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

The girl's squad gained and held the lead throughout the night.

Kylie Wallace scored 25 points. Ruby Brock scored ten points and Shaylee Dahl, Emma Chase and Grace Weller each scored three points.

"Our scoring was really spread out," Brock said. "Even scoring is what we've been talking about all year."

The Lady Vikings won 51-38.

The Wolves fought back Saturday night keeping the margins tighter in the first half.

The score was 10-10 at the end of the first quarter and the Lady Vikings gained a slight edge at the half with a three-point lead.

Brock said the squad didn't have the energy during the third quarter that they previously showed but found their stride and outscored Sitka in the fourth.

"We poured it on," Brock said.

The Lady Vikings dominated the fourth quarter wining the game 51-36.

Kylie Wallace scored 16 points. Grace Weller scored 12 points and Fran Abbott scored seven.

"Overall it was a great weekend," Brock said. "The kids played well. The crowd was amazing."

The Lady Vikings are 11-3 for the season.

They have this weekend off but head to Sitka the following week to face the Wolves and Mt. Edgecumbe.
