Extracurricular work, not just scores, is major local scholarship criteria

 


There’s a wealth of options when it comes to scholarships for Petersburg students, provided they get up early enough in their academic careers to make themselves suitable. Oftentimes that’s nothing more than maintaining their grades, test scores and keeping with what they’re already doing — local youth remain very active in extracurricular events — but it’s still well worth the trouble for students to do their research or having a good talk with Rachel Etcher, counselor for the high school.
