Petersburg Pilot -

The Petersburg Indian Association held elections Jan. 12 to elect five Tribal Council positions.

Barry Morrison was elected to serve as board president, a one-year term.

Barbara King beat out Brenda Louise to serve a two-year term on the board. King served on the board last year after being appointed to a one-year term.

New to the board is Brandi Heppe who will serve a one-year term alongside Rita Byrer who was re-elected to the position.

The council will appoint someone to fill a vacant one-year term which saw no candidate filings.
