Vikings lose in overtime during two close games

The Petersburg Vikings fell to the Sitka Wolves last weekend after two tough games that both went into overtime.

The Vikings started out with a solid lead during Friday night's competition, ahead 14-7 at the end of the first quarter and extended its lead to 27-17 at the half.

Things took a turn for Petersburg midway through the third quarter however as Sitka took advantage of Viking turnovers. By the end of the third quarter Sitka fought back to within six points.
