Petersburg volleyball earns huge W in first match of season

Adana Kvernvik made good things happen at the net on offense and defense

Viking volleyball kicked off their season by splitting six matches with Juneau-Douglas High School (JDHS) squads last weekend in Petersburg. The Varsity girls got the gym rocking with a big win on Friday night, earning their first home victory against any 3A or 4A opponent since 2011, according to head coach Jaime Cabral.

"The games went well and we competed pretty darn good for only being three weeks into the season," says head coach Jaime Cabral. "It was a great weekend, great battle to start out the year."
