Thirteens Vikings at Honors Music

Dan Rudy / Petersburg Pilot

Thirteen Petersburg High School band and choir students traveled to Wrangell last week to participate in the Region V Honor Festival. There was a very good turnout for Petersburg and small schools in general, according to music teacher Matt Lenhard. The music pieces were selected by guest choir and band directors, and the students had two days and a night to learn and practice the pieces, and create a cohesive product. The Petersburg students were a mix of veterans and fresh faces, but the camaraderie was instant and produced a festival full of good times and tunes.
