Volunteer mechanic Jack Slaght and Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department fire chief Doug Welde line up the engine of the International 1936 in preparation for the final stages of its ongoing restoration. Slaght said the brakes are completely done and the engine is ready to be hooked up and hopefully be running within the week, if the weather stays rainy and keeps him in the shop. However, if the weather gets beautiful, Slaght said, he'd have to shift gears and start getting his boat ready.
