Around 4:00 am Tuesday morning, the rising sun silhouettes Devil's Thumb. Monday, June 20th marks the summer solstice, the moment when the tilt of Earth's axis is more inclined toward the sun than any other point in the year and the Northern hemisphere experiences its longest period of daylight.
