Generally Fourth of July events happen on July 3 and 4, but this year, with the Fourth falling on a Monday the committee was looking for options to extend the weekend fun. This year, there will be events held on Saturday through Monday, with an entire new slate of activities scheduled to take place on Sunday, according to Petersburg Chamber of Commerce manager Mara Lutomski.
