July 29, 1916 – Captain Bert Haug and crew of the Mildred are reported to have seined 155,000 salmon within less than two weeks, the fish being brought in by tenders. Captain Oscar Nicholson, arriving in with the Eunice the first of the week from Yakutat waters, had a catch of 12,000 sockeyes. The tender Albert, Captain Johnson, was in Wednesday night with 32,000 seine fish. The pack up to Wednesday evening at the local cannery was said to 16,800 cases.
