The van simulates a piece of airplane fuselage that broke away during a simulated crash. Firefighters used Hurst Extrication tools to gain access to the vehicle, while EMS personnel conducted triage operations. Victims from the "crash" were simulated in some cases by pieces of foam on the ground. Search and rescue volunteers searched nearby muskeg for "victims" thrown from the plane's fuselage.
