Meth lab busted
March 4, 2010
The Petersburg Police Department received a complaint of a possible clandestine laboratory in the woods near downtown Petersburg. Petersburg’s SEACAD investigator identified the remains of a recent clandestine lab at an area known as “Ewok Village” in the Hammer Slough drainage. The DEA sent a Federal Disposal Contractor team to assist in the removal of both known and unknown substances from the lab site on Thursday, Feb., 25. Evidence left at the scene suggested the lab’s intent was for the manufacture of methampthetamine.
The Petersburg Police Department has identified a suspect in this case, and is continuing its investigation.
