Tonka Seafoods is the winner of the 2010 Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award.
“I was told the Chamber had eight nominations for business of the year, five of which were for Tonka Seafoods,” Gilbert said. “We pride ourselves on friendly service and our great attitude, everyone feels happy when they come in here.”
Gilbert gives credit to co-owner Seth Scrimsher for developing their website and increasing sales. http://www.tonkaseafoods.com/
This development has not gone unnoticed, said Ryan McFarland, President of the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.
“Tonka Seafoods has been very innovative. They have generated several new products,” Mcfarland said. “The nominations we received mentioned that they were contributing to the community in both donations and time.”
Gilbert said the business had a lot of ground to make up since 2008 — a particularly tough year — but credits great employees with great attitudes on winning the Chamber of Commerce Award.
