In Petersburg, on Tuesday Kinder Skog kids fill food bags for Wrangell after Monday night's devastating landslide. The people of Petersburg are gathering support of all kinds to help out the neighboring community. Breakaway will make a run from Banana Point to Wrangell on Wednesday afternoon with a load of support items like shelf-stable food, pet food, clothing of all kinds, blankets, and daily essentials gathered across town. Further donations of items are paused at the request of Wrangell, but cash donations for provisions, generators, and fuel to aid search and rescue efforts can be made at any First Bank branch location to the First Bank account name: City and Borough of Wrangell Landslide Search and Rescue Benefit Account.
