Orin Pierson / Petersburg Pilot

The 466 foot megayacht l'Austral, part of the high-end French cruise company Ponant, anchored Tuesday in the Wrangell Narrows off Middle Harbor. Built in 2011, the vessel carries 264 passengers and 139 crew, venturing from the usual cruise ship itineraries to such dramatic locales as Antarctica and the Northwest Passage.
