Iris Case shows off her Star Wars spirit on Sunday by dressing up as Princess Leia. Case and her family were among the 446 customers to attend the latest installment of the popular film series at the Northern Nights Theater over the weekend. Theater manager Anne Tate considered the weekend a success, but said 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' fell short of setting any opening night records. Avatar still holds the opening night record with 240 customers, compared to 169 for Star Wars on Friday night. Tate is hoping to see large crowds again this weekend, and says a portion of their popcorn sales will go to the Petersburg Children's Center building expansion.
