July 4, 2018, Mike Luhr was installed as the new national president of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America, during the organization's 154th national convention held in San Antonio, Texas. Luhr was joined at his installation by his wife Barb, daughter Bradee, her husband Adam Axmaker, their son Justin Axmaker and three more of his grandchildren.
