    On a beautiful Saturday, the Humpy 500 was held indoors at the Community Gym. The day continued as a success even if not in its normal venue, normally down PFI hill. Teams went head to head with carts built by the teams to represent sea life. Six teams competed in a cart race, and costume and cart design contests. In the race, the Super Sea Urchins cart with Trinity Davis as team captain, won first place; the Clamorous Clams with Allies Davis as captain came in second; and the Hammerhead... Full story

    Two paintings by Beth Flor have been selected for the International Museum of Art’s Annual National Juried Art Exhibition. The oils “Sidewalk Restaurante” and “Old Woman on a Balcony” were chosen by juror Bill Bissell.     The Trading Union worked hard over the last two months to support the Wounded Warrior Program. The program was created to help wounded soldiers returning from war and TU did its part to make sure the program works. “For a small community, we had a great turnout for this program,” TU Manager Barry Morrison said. “We pushed it pretty hard at first, but this community gives so much for every event.” According to Morrison TU ran out of window space for the flags that were sold inside the store....
