Middle school wrestlers come home champions

 


The Petersburg Middle School Viking wrestlers traveled to Craig from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 to participate in the Stikine Invitational with eight other teams.

“Petersburg's young athletes represented themselves, their town, their parents and their school very well both on and off the mat,” Coach Rob Schwartz said. “As a coach, I really appreciate that.”

Petersburg came out on top with a team total score of 226.5 followed by Ketchikan with 195.

Individually, the Vikings put up some impressive stats as well.
