PHS goes to Washington

Close-Up chaperones Jim and Jill Engell led a group of 28 Petersburg High School students to Washington DC this month. Students held fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for the trip. Along with students from across the U.S. they participated in a mock congress, visited memorials and museums, and had hands on opportunities to learn about government.
