Helicoptor logging operations on the University of Alaska Mitkof Island Timber Sale near Beecher Pass and Keene Island were seen by passing paddlers during Saturday's Paddle Battle fundraiser. The dual rotor helicoptor is operated by Columbia Helicopters, out of Portland, Oregon.
