Residents from the Mountain View Manor and PMC Long Term care served as judges for this year's Chamber of Commerce holiday light contest held Friday.

Ross Nannauck and Rudy Nannauck's colorfully lit and musical home won the judges over for first place in the homes category. Ken Yuen took second place for best decorated home.

Petersburg Rexall Drug, Inc. took first in the business category for their window display celebrating The Nutcracker, which was performed by the Mitkof Dance Troupe.

Robin Roberts and Jim Roberts won first in the boat category. Their vessel at slip 49 is lighting up the harbor.

Only one neighborhood entered this year's competition making for a sure first place win for the houses on Vesta Street.

The Chamber didn't see any entries for organizations and churches.

This year's judges were: Merry Armin, Sam Lee, Colleen Bursowski, Joan Shilling and Karen Badgely. Grant Trask drove the judges around for the night of Christmas decoration viewing and judging.

Top winners receive a $50 Chamber gift certificate with second place winners receiving a $25 gift certificate.

Though many brightly decorated homes light up Petersburg around the holidays, Chamber Director Cindi Lagoudakis reminds people that they must sign up as official entrants to be included in the judging.
