Lady Vikings win first tourney game

 


The Lady Vikings won its first game in the Clarke Cochran Christmas Classic tournament in Ketchikan Tuesday morning.

The Petersburg girls beat the California team University Prep.

Head Coach Dino Brock said his team started out strong and kept a good momentum throughout the entire game.

The Lady Vikings were up 16-8 at the end of the first quarter. University Prep fought back and was down by two points at the half.

“In the third quarter we battled back and forth,” Brock said. “They’d go on a run and then we’d go on a run. We outscored them 13-12 in the third quarter.”
