School Board President Jean Ellis informed the board at Tuesday's meeting that she will be resigning after March's meeting. "As of April, I will have been a member of either the Petersburg School Board or Petersburg Hospital Board for 27 years. We currently have a strong board and with Erika as interim superintendent, I believe this is a good time for me to retire from the board," Ellis said. Her term was set to expire Oct. 2016. Vice President Megan Litster will take Ellis' place as board president and a new board member will be appointed until October's election.
