Petersburg shoppers will enjoy two Sales Tax Free Days this year: May 2 and October 3. The Assembly unanimously approved a resolution providing for the two days. Last year’s tax free days resulted in just over $19,000 in uncollected sales tax revenue for the Borough.

Assembly member Jeigh Stanton Gregor said the days keep money circulating locally, which he said was a benefit for the community.
