At Monday’s Assembly meeting, Vice Mayor Cindi Lagoudaki reported that the Southeast Conference’s annual meeting will be held in Petersburg in September 2016. Organizational and planning meetings for the event, which will bring several visitors from Southeast Alaska and coastal Canada to town, will begin this winter.

A draft Comprehensive Plan and Waterfront Master Plan is available to the public for viewing and/or download at the borough’s website. Public comment on the plans will be accepted until July 31.
