Rainforest Ferry to operate this month

The Rainforest Islands Ferry was moored in Ketchikan on Monday while preparing to sail to its homeport in Coffman Cove on Prince of Wales Island. According to the Ketchikan Daily News additional mechanical work was completed in Washington and while the vessel is in Ketchikan it was to undergo U.S. Coast Guard tests before beginning its route between Coffman Cove, Wrangell and Petersburg in late August. The Pilot was unable to contact Kent Miller of Rainforest Islands Ferry for additional information.
