Flora Anne Tagaban

Flora Anne Tagaban, 67, was born May 13,1948 in Wrangell, Alaska. In 1966 she married Clifford Tagaban of Petersburg. They were married for 48 years before her passing on August 14, 2015 in Orlando, Fla. In those years they had three children Cliffor (Speed) Tagaban Jr., Louis Tagaban, and Mary Tagaban.

Flora loved her family and children. While she was raising her young family in Petersburg she found joy in serving as the school lunch lady, Drill Team Coach, Tee Ball Coach, Umpire at the "Parents Kids Game," honorary Little League Coach and score keeper. She was always there for everyone with encouraging smile and coaching advice.

Eventually, she and Clifford moved to Juneau where she was known for being the loudest supporter of soft-ball games and spending time with all her grandkids. She just loved being with family and was the nucleus that kept her family close to one another. She was always there for everyone in time of need; she was purposefully never too far from her cell phone.

She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Jackson; sisters Sarah Jackson and Maybelle Silva; and parents Ralph Jackson Sr. and Mary M. Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, children, and eleven grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A memorial was held in Petersburg August 25, where her ashes were spread at Olsen's Log dump; followed by a memorial in Juneau. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, August 28 at the Juneau Christian Center.
