Like so many places around the country, the day after Thanksgiving in Petersburg marks the real beginning of the holiday season, and Petersburg marks the occasion with it's annual Parade of Lights down mainstreet followed by the town's Christmas tree lighting. This year Shay Childs piloted Santa's four-wheeler sleigh. The Chamber of Commerce recognized Santa as the honorary tree lighter
